This is a code-example driven introduction to Seam 3. Seam 3 is an open source framework for building rich web applications in Java. Seam 3 is based on CDI, the next generation type-safe dependency injection API included in Java EE 6. Seam 3 is composed of a set of portable modular extensions and tools for persistence, JPA 2, security, internationalization, JSF 2, Wicket, GWT, Quartz, JAX-RS, Excel/PDF generation, email, JavaScript remoting, JMS, Drools, JBPM, JBoss ESB, code-generation, reverse-engineering and IDE tooling.
